DVD duplication is a process that enables you to create high quality backup discs of your data using a DVD burner. The data that you can back up can be anything like movies or music etc. You can even backup a complete DVD movie including trailers, special features and menus into a single DVD disc. In the process of DVD duplication, data from your computer or a CD/DVD is copied onto another DVD using a DVD burner.

One of the major advantages of DVD duplication is that it enables you create DVDs in a professional way that can include labelling, screen-printing and creative packages. DVD duplication involves the data transfer from a master DVD onto recordable DVDs. It is commonly referred to as burning or backup. Although DVDs are incredibly versatile mediums, it is very important to note down that the data holding capacity of a DVD-R is 25 times more than that of a CD-R.

Using a specific DVD burner device and its software, anyone can duplicate their DVDs at home. However, for producing a number of DVD copies, it is better to opt for professional DVD duplication services. You can also back up multiple subtitle and soundtracks in a DVD.

DVD duplication is ideal for duplicating up to 100 DVDs. The use of DVD technology is increasing rapidly. New generation optical discs provide a greater storage capacity – 4.7GB (DVD-5), 8.5GB (DVD-9) and 9.4GB (DVD-10). Due to these many advantages, the DVD duplication technique has become extremely popular today.
