CD mastering is a unique process of enhancing the audio quality of your CD and editing it on high-end music production equipment, so that the sound of your CD is improved. Audio CD mastering plays a major role in making your album sound like a professional recorded CD rather than a demo CD. When you master a CD, it packs a bigger punch, and has more clarity.

CD mastering is a complex process that is done by a professional CD mastering engineer. The correct CD mastering can make your album sound even better. The basic steps of CD mastering are as follows:

Assembly editing
The album is transferred to a digital music editor and the songs are arranged in a specific order. In addition, the spacing between the songs is corrected and additional sounds like clicks, pops and other noises are eliminated.

Sweetening
Here, the clarity, smoothness, punch and impact of the album is increased or decreased depending on the requirements. The main aim is to enhance the overall intensity and clarity of the CD. The difference in the sound quality of the album is huge and can be noticed by even casual listeners.

Output
The finished and polished music tracks are converted to the required media for mass production, usually recordable CD. The master CD disc can be heard by you and if liked, can be approved for CD replication.
