Lily Allen expresses her angst concerning illegal filesharing

The battle against online music piracy just got intense. Illegal filesharing and downloading is one of the major reasons for the increase in piracy. This has propelled several international artists to raise their voice against this potentially harmful activity.
Earlier this year, Sir Elton John had raised his voice against illegal filesharing. Elton John has now received support from artist Lily Allen.

Last month, Lily Allen had openly voiced her opinion about illegal filesharing activities. She had posted a blog on her MySpace page. She also expressed her astonishment at the comments of Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason and Radiohead’s Ed O’ Brien. Both these international artistes voiced their support in favour of illegal file sharers.

According to Lily Allen, music piracy will completely destroy the British music market.
She also said that reputed artists like Nick Mason are further contributing in this direction. Lily also feels that such rampant piracy activities will hamper the progress of budding musicians and singers. However, this will not affect the successful artists, since they have already earned a decent profit in their career.

The views of Lily Allen are completely contrary to the principle of Featured Artists Coalition. However, several other musicians have supported Lily Allen and her views against illegal filesharing. Other methods like illegal CD copying or CD duplication should also be banned in order to curb piracy.

If you have the rights to the material you should make use of CD duplication services which can duplicate the CDs to professional standards.
